Hello I am a widow 54 years old mum of 3 grandma of 3 care assistant of 16 years and love caring for people.I am calm,caring,honest and friendly,I have 16 years experience in home care and care homes from everything from elderly care,mobility issues,dementia to adults with learning difficulties and end of life care.My skills are washing,dressing,choosing clothes to wear for the day,helping prepare meals,ironing amongst other things.
I have been a organist for nearly 40 years mainly playing in church for weddings etc.
I love doing word search and going out for coffee.I love spending time with my daughters,gardening,art and crafts,cooking,baking and even housework.I love chatting to different people and learning about family history,looking at photos and understanding dementia and helping people with dementia enjoy a full and enjoyable life through puzzles,art and crafts,dance,befriending the client and making they feel valued as a individual and treat them like I would treat anyone of my family.Involve the client in housework if they feel able as so many times in my experience taking this away from the lady of the house makes them feel undervalued.I have a vast experience with working with the elderly,mobility issues,dementia etc.
